Small round dark bump?

I have a small almost black bump right where my butt meets the pubic area. it doesnt hurt but i am afraid it could be melanoma or soemthing serious. I dont have a doctor or health insurance it has been there for probably over 6 months adn it is only the one. it is pretty small, about half the size of a pencil eraser.
