Did most white South Africans support apartheid?

Our family spoke only Afrikaans, never supported apartheid at all, never had servants because their was enough of us to do the housework etc, cleaned our own garden and was taught to respect any human being, white, black or coloured. Not all Afrikaans speaking people supported apartheid, that is a myth.
