Is there a link between IQ and the approval or disapproval of same-sex marriage?

Seriously, if you look at the US Map and look at the states that approve same-sex marriage, they are in the north. The states that ban same-sex are in the south. The south is where you have uneducated people in the United States. It appears as though the determining factor in whether or not same-sex is banned in your state is based on the IQ of your state. The dumber the state, the longer time it will be before the ban is lifted. Also, it appears there is a link between southern heritage/southern culture/confederate preservation and the disapproval of same-sex marriage. Think about it, have you ever met a person that supported the confederate flag that wasn't a racist and a homophobe?
